I am back !!!! . Just a small line to thank all of you who take time to read all the reviews I type down , pretty useless ones at that ....
And back to Pebble Street ... Well what can I say , after all the F1 races they air live on that huge projector and that India /England cricket match which India actually won and that too chasing 325 , I am a big fan of the place .
Alright now for the real review .Reaching the place is a blooming hassle , located in New Friends colony you actually need to navigate thru the wonderful traffic and the traffic jams in Nehru Place or Ashram or Sarita Vihar depending on where you are coming from . Besides that parking is a bloody hassle , sometime I wish I had never sold my bike off. The traffic and the getting to there said and done the place is pretty decent and the decor suits the name very very well . You have actual lamp posts inside and a nice pebble wall seperating two areas . There is also a mezannine floor for additional seating .One word of caution while climbing up be very very careful , they have a low pillar and being 63 myself I have banged my head against it many many times . It hurts :-D . There is a wonderful board put up there for the people like me who never learn from their mistakes the first time , you can read it on your way down, The light at the end of the tunnel may be a train or something similar atleast .
Service is pretty much to the mark. The best part of the pebble street is their booze menu . They have some excellent deals a pretty decent drinks menu .Nothing much to talk about their food menu though , standard fare , nothing out of the ordinary .By the way if you order chips and salsa , see the size of the chips , doesnt look like chips at all , more like those nice things we call papads .:-D . Prices are pretty decent too.
They are one of the very few pubs in town which actually air all F1 races live and have tons of deals on during the races not all pertaining to the liquor . Maybe not everyone is crazy about F1 but those who are normally flock this place on the race days . Why I find this interesting is because it is different , if it is world cup football everybody shows it , if its cricket everybody shows it , so these guys are being slightly different and not following the bandwagon .
Ok now for the bad points , my standard complaints from most of the places , music is really really bad , they really need to do something about it. This place again tends to get pretty crowded. They also have room to improve the service standards slightly . This one of my major complaints with most of the pubs in town . Like many people say a smile can go a long way .Being professional is good but not at the cost of customer satisfaction. Enough of my MBA lectures.
Overall this is a place I would like to go to again and would definitely recommend it to others .
So long MS members , wait for my next review , I will be back to bore you again ....
