I had purchased a Cipla Plast 4-step ladder from Pepperfry.com. This particular item was being sold for a significantly cheaper rate on Pepperfry.com than any other site. Since this was my first purchase with them, and since the item price was quite cheaper than elsewhere, I chose the Cash on Delivery(CoD) option to be on the safe side.
Pepperfry.com has an innovative model where for CoD orders they call on the phone number provided when placing the order and confirm whether the order was indeed placed by the person or not. This is an automated call. Once this call is received, only then the order is processed.
I got the call within 5 minutes of placing the order, and after the call I got the email confirming the order. Later, once the item was shipped, I got another email with the shipment tracking details.
The item was delivered in a couple of days. The packing used was excellent. The product was brand new as promised and quality was also as shown on the website. Overall a good transaction.
