This company should have been named IMPROPERFRY not Pepper Fry.
Behind the veil of slick dressup and presentations runs an organization with devious methods and policies which goes against the very grain of the Indian legal system. They have devised their own rules which have no practical bearing on the business done by peers of the company.
How else would you explain the totally indifferent, condescending and arrogant attitude shown to me after I had patiently put up with all their mistakes so far and bought so many items.
The issue here is I had purchased a Korjo Baggage ID Set seeing the extremely attractive orange color the photo of which the had displayed on site. But Alas!! When the item came it was a different color, a very unattractive greenish-yellow which I immediately asked M/s.Pepper Fry to replace.
The fact is, these people have no replacement policy. Their aim is to make things so difficult for the customer that he would keep whatever item they thrust on him. Only in my previous purchase they sent me an umbrella of a different color than ordered and to avoid further headache for me I agreed to keep it.
People dont realize this repacking and going through the formalities of returning the item is quiet trying and takes up a lot of time and effort unnecessarily for no fault of ours but just because of the total indifference of these unscrupulous companies.
When I asked them to replace the wrongly sent item they came down with a lot of rules and conditions. Firstly there is no question of replacement they say out rightly. They will refund the money provided I fill out a number of forms and return the item to them. There is no reverse pickup (they do reverse pickup in cases they want to).
Now for sending the item I should use only Speed Post and the cost of sending back they will reimburse upto Rs.150/-!!! So in that case if it exceeds Rs.150/- I have to shell out the difference from my pocket?? For a mistake they have perpetrated? Further to go to the Post Office and back by auto it will cost me around Rs.200/- Will they reimburse that amount? And what about my valuable time and extra effort that I have to go through. Is there no consideration for that?
I have now clearly told them that they have to arrange a reverse pickup thereby ridding me of these unnecessary headaches and refund my money. However Pepper Fry wont agree with that. They are more than happy if I hold on to the item.
These people are not genuine businessmen but a type of shady characters who are trying to extract the maximum till the going allows them. It is high time the concerned authorities looked inside the dealings of this company.
