I recently conducted an experiment in my Biology Lab class in college, testing the effectiveness of certain products at inhibiting bacterial growth. In our results, we concluded that Pepsodent toothpaste only killed or inhibited 50% of the bacteria. Shockingly, Lysol was even worse, which is what we used to clean the area after the experiment. But thats another issue. In other words, you might want to use Scope (which killed 88% of bacteria) every time if you decide to continue to use pepsodent toothpaste. And by the way, Soft Soap brand antibacterial hand soap works exceptionally well at killing bacteria, so I suggest the use of it in every home!
