Peter England shirts have come a long way !! I was very impressed with the pricings when it started. Gradually they have grown across the nation with their reputation of being honest.
My hubby prefers Peter England for formal shirts. So he has got a good collection of Peter England shirts.
First thing that strikes you is the price. Its affordable and it has its ranges from 300/- odd to 500/- odd and above. There is a wide variety of shirts to choose from. I am a person who is very much into colours and believe me you will get a wide range of colours when you browse through the shirts. And the colours are very pleasant. Very unique too. One more advantage is that the single colour variety do not need frequent ironing. Once you wear them, you can hang that and use it for another day or so.
They had started with the Elements section which was ok except that it is very crushable. Maybe its the fabric... its of the softer quality. This section also has a good variety of prints and fabrics.
You will get a wide range of checks and stripes. What I would recommend is that you go for the plain colours. They are the best of PE. You are bound to find something which is YOU.
Whats good about the is that the fitting is perfect and it sits well on a mans shoulders.
You may come across one disadvantage.. the colours may run for some fabrics. That again depends on your luck :).
Out of the many shirts, we bought, Elements was the one which had this problem and one of the plain shirts too.
But that may be a rare case. Most of the guys I know swear by Peter England and well they are very happy with what they wear.
So go and get yourself something from Peter. They come up with interesting offers like if you buy two shirts of a particular range you will get a bag free... etc.
I would recommend Van Heusen Shirts as an alternative but you might think its a wee bit expensive.
