This is the review about Philips BT64B bluetooth speaker.It is a great compact speaker and it is very useful especially if you are a traveller and you are fond of music with extra bass and high quality powerful sound.
When I recieved the product my initial thoughts were that it will not be loud and it would not have much bass.I had purchased it from amazon on independence day last week.I have bought the red colour varient of it and I am quite impressed with it.
The packaging was quite nice and it was good of philips to include a qrist strap for it.When I saw the product on the internet I thought that it would be a large sized product than what I recieved on the package.
It has bluethooth connectivity as well as aux connectivity and even a micro sd card slot is amazing due to which I like to use the product.Unlike its competetors like jbl it has inbuilt radio into it which I found to be quite amazing.They have even included an aux cable but here the microusb charging cable was missing.
After charging it before using it as directed in the user manuel, I comnected it with my smartphone via bluetooth.It was totally very fast eesponse and I was impressed with it.
Now came the real deal, testing the speaker.My initial thoghts were that the sound output will be very low for a small compact speaker like this and at this price point.But I was amazed qith the sound output.The sound at full volume was enough to be heard clearly from my small threatre sized room when it was placed at the middle of my room.
I didnt expect this speaker to be that much loud with that much bass in it and the vocals were crystal clear.
Then I checked the buttons on the speaker.They also seemed to be working fine-namely the power button and the voulme rockers.
Then I tried it in fm radio mode and there also it was doing a great job.I could even tune the radio and set it to my desired radio station with the help od those buttons.
I was tried it with the aux mode and there also the sound output was great and of high quality.Next I also tried to attend the outgoing and incoming calls through the apeaker and its inbuilt microphone and there also it worked fine.
I was surprised to find out that the speaker gives the same quality of sound output in both the modes namely-wireless and wired.
The only thing I had issue with this was the battery lide.It did not last me a very long time.In the bluetooth mode and full voume it lasted me around one and a half hour while in the aux mode in full volume it lasted me around 2 hours.
It is a great compact speaker for people who are fond of music and who have a budget for a good quality bluetooth speaker around Rs. 2k.I have nothing really much to complain about it and I would say that everyone must try it out.
