To All Consumers,
This is to inform you all readers of Mid day newspaper please do not purchase Philips DVD players as they are nothing but junk products and their servies even worse.
I have purchased a philips DVD player in the month of July from Omega Electronics in Borivli, but it has stopped working in the month of October. I had sent it for repairs and it was returned to me after a week but it failed to work as soon as I brought it home. Hence I sent it back for repairs again the same day. It’s been two weeks and they have stil not able to rectify the same.
I have been repeatedly been in touch with Omega and the standard answer that I get is the parts are not available. When I told their (Omega’s) representatives that I would write about this to Mid Day Newspaper the lady said that I would be doing them a favour as the services of Philips is pathetic.
My advice to all readers of Mid Day is that In case if you ever need a Roti Maker then you opt for a Philips DVD player or else look for any other brand.
And lastly I would like to advice Philips that instead of lowering the prices of their products they should be looking at increasing the product quality as that would give them a larger market share and that’s the value for money a consumer is looking for in branded products especially when there are unknown and local products available for less. In case Philips does not believe in my advice then I would ask them to take a page from Sony products which are never available for more than 20% discount and always commanded a premium over other products solely for their superior porducts.
