Not Working? Use This!

The Philips DVD 625K is as they have advertised it. Plays practically any type of CD. Support for 1. DVD 2. VCD 3. MP3 CD 4. Audio CD 5. Kodak Photo CD 6. This is where it gets interesting: You can browse any CD-R or CD-RW as if it were a computer. There is support to view photos/images in jpeg format. Furthermore, the player identifies .dat movie files. So even your regular ’’computer VCD’’ which normally did not play on VCD players and only played on the comp can be played on this player. I had a CD with some music videos copied on it, and the player identified them as videos and played them sequentially. A full function remote - well, you do have to manually put a cd in & remove it out ;-) - along with the instruction booklet takes care of all your queries. The player also has a karaoke feature which I have not used so far. Both NTSC/PAL playback is supported, and the output can be connected to either a normal TV with CVBS input, a TV with S-video input or one with a component input (best quality). Other features include zoom picture, playback with multi-angles (DVD), parental control (DVD) & language (DVD). The model is very sleek (43mm height) and weighs just above 2 kg. Cost: @7k Plays: Anything other than that chapaati.
