Poor Service on Sound machine AZ 5738/98

I bought this sound machine from Croma in 29th June 2009 . The machine functioned well till 22nd August only and stopped playing CD /DVD. I took it to local service center(ahmedabad). The service center informed that they need to bring the lense from Pune office as they dont have the same in stock. Thats poor Supply chain management as Lense is a very prominenet and frequent cause of failure in Philips product. even after 10 days, to day also I am given the same excuse that the part is’Being shipped" from Pune .

There is not a slightest feeling of guilt in the service staff, and I am sure no body back there monitoring the service backlogs and spare part management. I am sure not to go for any Philips product in future.

I did expect a reasonable service if not the best but what I got is poor than a roadside store would give. Some how, this is third incident that I am stuck with the Lense problems in a phillips product and its time they should look at this inherrent weakness in their product .
