Make sure you get hd4938/00 and not 01

The latest version looks identical but is an under performer. The original hd 4938/00 is a monster performer, better anti skid legs, better heating better 3  pin plug and more robust. What can I say its  the best among all Indian cooktops

This is  also  the highest rated and sells the most units per day compared to any other cooktop . The top is completely made of tempered glass and  that makes it very easy to clean . It also has the child lock and future cooking option along with timer function

Its was a great idea to also include the pause button - which works like a toggle. Yes  one must use only cast iron or stainless steel vessels  which are flat and not concave or convex and the base is no more than 20 mm in diameter( induction base). Make sure its not close to any surface on all the 4 sides to allow the heat to escape, and prevent overheating and auto-shutdown.

This will also shutdown automatically if it does not detect a vessel for some time. The glasstop should not be touched immediately after using it as it will remain hot for a while

Moreover make sure you never extend the vessel over the sensor touch buttons as It may damage them. The total weight it can bear along with the vessel weight is 8 kilos. The type of warranty is a carry-in-warranty for  1 year.

Its very easy to clean with feather touch buttons. Looks stylish and feels robust.

The latest version HD4938/01 is  using non anti skid legs made of plastic and easily slips on granite, something Philips need to work upon and the 3 pin plug isn’t snug fit as it was  with its predecessor .HD4938/00
