One of the first ever mobile phones that I got was the philips C12. I enventually sold it to a friend at work, as I wanted a more up to date mobile. I now have a nokia 3310.
The phone is black and is not popular now, but it an ok and basic phone.
Its quite a big phone compared to mobiles these days.
There is an address book, where you can store up to 90 peoples name and phone number. The persons name can be up to 11 characters long. The names in the address book are in alphabetical order, so it is easier to find someome.
YOu can send text messages to other people. Each message can be up to 160 messages long. YOu can also include pictures with you message. There are 25 pictures to choose from, including faces. The downside to this is that you can only send these pictures to people with the same phone as you. You can store up to 10 messages on your phone at a time. When you have a message, a flashing envelope appears on the front on your screen. You can forward, read and delete messages.
It displays 2 lines of text at a time and 11 characters per line when you type in a message.
There is voice mail for when you can not get to your mobile. You can record the message yourself, or use the message that is already on your phone.
There are 20 ringtones to choose from. You can not download tones either, so you have to use the ones on your phone.
There is a stop watch, which I never used. There is a calaculator which I never used either. There is also a bio calendar which predicts your love, chance, energy and success levels on a certain day.
On the screen of the mobile there is the time, the battery life which when full is 4 bars but when it gets down to 1 bar, you know it will nearly need charging up again.
You can check how much credit you have left on your phone, so you know when to top it up again.
YOu can see who the last person to ring you was by dialling 1471. It shows you the last 20 numbers that phoned too.
I used to charge this phone up most nights, as I used to send a lot of text messages. If I did not use it as much, I could charge it up every other night. IT has 250 hours standby time and 240 minutes talk time.
YOu can only get this phone on the BT Cellnet network, or you could when I got it anyway. Reception was always good on it.
I bought this phone from Argos for £39.99, which is really cheap. It will be cheaper than that now as I had this phone quite a while ago now. YOu also got 150 free minutes a month, talk time to a nominated land line. YOu have to put a £15 top up card on your mobile every 3 months though as they would cut you off.
It is a good phone but not at up to date now though
