Guys today I went for phillauri and I must say it is a good one time watch. a cute indian love story with good sense of humor as well as horror. the film has got a simple yet interesting plot contrasting between 2 love stories- one from the modern 2017 and the other one from the british india.
we see suraj sharma after a long time in a very different role from the one he is known for(Pi of life of pi). yes he did decent justice to the character of kanan. anushka sharma- nothing much to say, very natural and lovable SHASHI. diljit perfectly played the role of a punjabi artist. and mehreen was very much suited for the character of a cute indian bride.
music was pretty good with some classical ascent to it. we do not get any type of party or item numbers but the songs are soothing to your ears.
cinematography I must say it was very good. I really loved the way the film was shot. I loved the way how both the love stories were portrayed and how the transitions were done.
only one thing which disappointed me a bit was the ending- it was more like an abrupt one.
the movie is a great one time watch at the theaters with you partner. this one can also be a great choice for family outings.
