One would have thought that the sequel to the laugh riot Hera Pheri would be a rib tickling film. The film turns out to be a soggy comedy. Despite an impressive cast, the film fails to generate even a basic laugh. The plot is absurd. There are so many subplots that the director seems to have lost all the strings which could have held the movie. Paresh Rawal and Rampal Yadav are the only two characters would generate laughter. Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar are both loud and seem to have lost the golden touch of Hera Pheri. The end was just as dangling for the audience as was Akshay over the bridge railing. Maybe the director wants to make a final sequel!
The first half though a bit tolerable, failed to sustain interest in the second half. Everything was kind of fake. It was the type of comedy one expected from old degenerated movies, not from a slickly cinematographed film like this. What with silly circus jumping, trapezeeing with a larger than life ape - it was just a mad melee which the director trieed very hard to tame , but failed! Certainly not a film worth wasting hundred or even eighty bucks on!
