All the problems, troubles, miseries looks smaller when you fall in love; life looks short and you pray that god should give you another life to do justice with your love. That is Phir Teri kahani yaad aye is all about. I have seen this movie on Zee TV as it was released on Television only in 2002 I watched it again and again and still it looks refreshing. I basically liked its content and the treatment by Mahesh Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt I believe the only director who makes film on human psychology. The film also based on one of the very common psychological disorder that is generally referred as Obsessive compulsive disorder. However during whole of the film this term was never acknowledged. If we keep out this mental disease the story has nothing new to offer. Rahul ( Rahul Rai) an alcoholic film director met another inmate Puja (Puja Bhatt) in a rehabilitation centre. First they clashed each other then became friend and finally fall in love. Sooner Puja”s symptoms of Paranoia and compulsiveness started showing up. She started behaving abnormally and frightening for even the smallest thing. When it became impossible to cure her she was send to a mental asylum in Bengalore.Where she was believed to be dead in a fire. Rahul”s friend Tina (Puja Bedi) tried to divert his mind but failed. Suddenly Rahul started getting telephone calls from a girl whose voice resembles Puja. The film was narrated as a first person account that gives it a touch of an autobiographical film.Puja Bhatt scored as a paranoid girl successfully, no overacting, and no over direction. Film runs with an easy flow and does not loose momentum on any point. Anu Malik”s Music is the biggest USP of the film. You can always hum the songs.
