Not the place to be....

Looking for a fun resort to match the spirit of Goa...

Phoenix Park Inn is just not the place. Although situated at Candolim Beach ( The hub of activities starting from Baga- Calangute- Candolim), something is missing at the resort.

It is a pretty decent place with good rooms, good staff and Geoffrey’s restaurant but we did not enjoy staying there.

I visited Goa last September with my entire family including my parents . For everybody other than me it was a first travel to Goa so I wanted my family to enjoy it to the hilt.

We first stayed for 3 days that Ronil beach resort at Baga beach and then for 3 days at Phoenix Park Inn. Though the resort is not as upmarket as Phoenix Park Inn is ( especially the rooms at Phoenix are much better) but the stay at Ronil was memorable.

Partly because it is at a walking distance from Baga ( the most beautiful and happening beach after Anjuna in North Goa), also the fact that stay at Ronil was much more relaxed, much more casual than at formal Park Inn.

Despite better facilities at Phoenix, next time I will again prefer Ronil over it.

If you are planning a 4-5 days long trip to Goa and want to cover the entire Goa then I will highly recommend a stay at Baga beach for 2-3 days and 2-3 at South Goa at Cavelossim/Varca/Colva. This way you will get to enjoy both parts of Goa.

A day at Baga ( Jet Skiing, parasailing), Dinner at the beach at Britto’s , a day at Anjuna + Vagator , A quick visit to Asagaon to take a look at breathtaking Portugese Villas, the mandatory visit to Dona Paula + Cruise is more than enough.

Memories are still fresh in my mind and I am looking forward to visit Goa again.....
