I recently watched Phule after a friend recommended it. The film is based on the life of Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule. After watching it, I was left thinking deeply – society was so different back then, and bringing change was a huge challenge.
I really liked the story. It shows how the Phule couple started educating girls at a time when even thinking about it was considered wrong. Despite hate, insults, and violence, they kept going. A few scenes were truly emotional.
Pratik Gandhi has played the role of Jyotirao Phule and he did a great job. His acting felt natural and powerful. Patralekhaa as Savitribai was also impressive – especially how her character grows stronger with time, it was nice to watch.
The film moves at a slow pace, so people who enjoy fast and dramatic movies might find it a bit slow. But I personally felt the pace helped show the time and the struggle in a more real way. The music is decent, and some scenes really stay with you after the movie ends.
Yes, it felt a bit long in a few parts, and editing could have made it tighter. But overall, the message is strong and still relevant today.
In short, Phule is a real and inspiring film. If youre someone who likes meaningful stories or wants to watch something based on true history, this is definitely worth watching.
