Well I took admission in this college 2010 well ours was the first batch of engineering from this college. My first day was pretty bad because I reached late and was unaware of my classroom and the building in 10 storey building(5 were under construction that time) lift was not working that time I roamed all around to find classroom and was feeling like I’m in ‘bhool bhuliya’
The key aspects which should be taken into consideration while taking admission in this college are:-
INFRASTRUCTURE:
This college has very big campus and when you come here you will feel like your in episode with bears grylls in man vs. wild(typical mumbaikars who are not much use to jungle or greenery). It has very big play ground so boys boost up.? The playground is huge, perhaps largest in Mumbai colleges. Sadly there’s no gymkhana.
Though the campus is huge but most of the part is under construction which is rapidly progressing.
Classrooms are not air-conditioned but as its tall building there natural AC working all the time.
For those who are travelling for far there is hostel facility available. Hostel is neat and tidy but the food is not good. You can also take room on rent you will get on cheap rent(remote place).
Canteen has good and edible food but its not so huge and is always occupied by bunkers and seniors.
LOCATION:
This is little remote place 15 to 20km from Panvel. So people living in central and western line don’t even think of coming here. But the good thing is there is bus facility is available stops for college bus are Khanda Colony, Panvel S.T. Stand, HDFC circle & Panvel Railway station. But don’t even dare to get into it without pass( Mr. Subhash will kick you out). ST buses and sharing autos are also available from Panvel and Rasayani stations
FEES:
Rs. 80, 100/- per year
FACULTY:
I was in computer department and its faculty is not up to the mark. The people studying is ME were our lecturers but we also had some experienced lecturers. Some of lecturers also have habit to get involve in your personal matters and life.?
EXTC and Civil had experienced facility.
ATTENDANCE:
It’s one of the biggest problem over here(especially for students like me). Though they don’t teach but it’s compulsory to sit in class and it’s mandatory to have 75% attendance and if you fail to do so a letter will reach to your parents and they will have to come to your college.
HANGOUTS:
If you are nature lover you take admission here. This college is best in rainy season as it has small waterfalls nearby. It also has river and a dam(be careful watchmen are keeping watch) you will love this place as it is silent. It has also many temples near by.
CROWD and EVENTS:
Most of the crowd comes from Panvel and near by areas. As it is new college there are not many events held here. But sari day, mismatch, black and white, retro are celebrated with all fun. But the advantage is as its connected to Panvel Pillai you will get pass for the concerts of all the celebrity coming to Panvel Pillai( Yo Yo Honey Singh, Akcent).
