Pink is a very catchy Title. The story revolves around 3 girls or should I say 3 friends & how their life gets messed up completely when they try to sue the men who tried to molest them. Amitabh bacchan is a renowned lawyer in the movie who has taken retirement from his court trials & is no longer active. 3 girls - Minal Arora, Falak Ali and Andrea attends a rock concert where they meet Rajveer & his friends, who is the nephew of a powerful politician from Delhi. After the rock concert is over, Rajveer invites all 3 of them for dinner to a nearby resort. The women were unaware of Rajveer’s evil intention & offers them drinks. Rajveer gets real close to Minal despite Minal saying’NO’ for any sort of physical intercourse. At the heat of the moment, Minal grabs the nearby beer bottle & smashes Rajveer’s head, thy leaving him on his own pool of blood. To avenge the same, Rajveer & his friends starts threatening the girls of dire consequences. Not able to take more of this crap, they lodge a police complaint against the men. Since Rajveer was well connected, they lodge back a false FIR labelling them as prostitutes. In the turn of events, Minal gets arrested & was charged with’Attempt to murder". Seeing how helpless these girls were, Big B comes out of his retirement followed by a really gruesome hard hitting reality check as there were lot of social issues that were raised during the entire court trial scene. The best part of the movie for me was when Andrea was asked whether she belonged to N.E. People usually carry a lot of stereotypical images of a person belonging from N.E. part of India. The one thing that bothered me was about the judge. The judge provided a judgement based on moral or human values thus neglecting the evidence(obviously fake) which is not practical in real life scenario. And also what would have happened if we reverse the Gender? A lot of questions but there were very few answers. Also I felt the movie was a bit slow paced. Overall It was brilliant & the way Big B performed & also the newcomers, Kudos to them.
