The Breathtaking Movie

Recently, I watched the movie Pippa starring Ishan Khattar. So when I started to watch, I was like what is this happening? Actually the film shows mass killings of students in Dhaka University and a rap song playing in the background. Its lyrics were about a sad situation but it doesn’t feel right to me. I didn’t feel the pain of those hundreds of students who were killed in just a few minutes by Pakistani policemen. But I continued to watching it, then film shows training and experiment of Russia war tank, which name is Pippa and then one of the tank was in the command of 45 cavalry of Indian army Balram Singh Mehta (balli) . Then all soldiers got orders to back from the river and also warned to not go far in the river, where water is deeper, but balli didn’t follow the command and after doing his experiment of the tank, he got scolded by his senior. From here, I started to like this movie. After it the movie reels on the personal life of Balli, his bond with his elder sister Radha, played by Mrunal Thakur and his conflict and disagreement with his elder brother Ram, played by Priyanshu painyuli , who is a renowned soldier at a higher rank in the Indian army. In this period, Everything was ok for Balli, he talked to radha about her fiance and radha took wrong name of her fiance ‘manoj’ instead of manjot, it was shown earlier that balli took this name, while introduction to radha’s fiance, and they laughed a lot and shared the cigarette. After it, Balli knew that he was transferred to Delhi headquarters for doing paper work as the punishment for disobedience in the tank experiment. Then he got frustrated and in this anger, he went to Radha’s fiance manjot clinic and told him that her sister is not fit for him, actually it was the opposite of it in the balli’s sense. After it, Radha got angry with Balli and his mother was also angry with him, he got frustrated. In this frustration, he also disrespected his brother Ram when he was going on a spy mission to west Pakistan (now Bangladesh). From here, paths of these three siblings fall apart in three directions. Ram went on a mission in west Pakistan to help Mukti bahini, a party of muzibur rehman, first prime minister of Bangladesh. Balli got the senior’s attention after modifying Pippa tank and he was sent back on his post to the army base of boyra, which was near to west Pakistan. Radha started to work for a group, who was intercepting phone calls and secret radio talks of Pakistani leaders and army officials through cryptography and she played a big role in decoding confidential messages of the Pakistani government. From here pathways of these three siblings started to align together against a war to protect humanity and 6 crore people of west Pakistan and to help create a new nation, Bangladesh. The film ended up happily with some real photos of our real heroes, who fought like a savior against Pakistan’s cruelty. The character of Balram teaches us how we start our life with indiscipline and then tragedy makes us sensible as we grow up and take responsibilities. This film is about the life of three grown up children of a Martyr Indian soldier. This film also shows us how the common people can also play a pivotal role to protect humanity when a war or mass killings happens around us. Story was crisp and fast paced, but I think that technicians and cameraman didn’t do great, because I noticed a lot of camera angles’ displacements, While tank dive test in the river, tank modification by balli in the Army’s garage of delhi headquarter and scenes of women refugees in the way of boyra, when balli went back on his post. I have one more complaint to RSVP, the production company of the Pippa movie. In a scene with Indra Gandhi, Sam Manekshaw was shown getting orders to take charge of the Indian army for war against Pakistan. The problem is that the role of Sam Manekshaw played by someone else, even a biopic of Sam Manekshaw, Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal, has been released this December and probably it was also shot at the same time when Pippa was made. And the point to note is that both of these films are made by the same production company, RSVP. So I think it was easy for RSVP to convince Vicky Kaushal to play as sam manekshaw in the Pippa movie also, but they missed this opportunity to join their two films to each other like a universe. If it were to happen, it would create an army cinematic universe (ACU) like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Then ACU could bring those films, which would tell us about our real heroes, our Indian soldiers. Because RSVP mainly focuses on creating biopic films of Indian soldiers. So for RSVP, it could be the best idea to give respect to all unknown Martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for us. One more thing, ‘Main Parwana’ song of this movie is an entertaining song to give relief you from your anxiety and sufferings, which happens more when you fight at stake of your like at the border in harsh conditions, and I think soldiers do also deserves entertainment and refreshments to overcome their pains, concern about their family and fear of aftercare. Yes I know this review went so long, but I hope you won’t regret it after reading it. I am that type of writer who is not so filtered, So I just shared my unfiltered feelings of watching the Pippa movie and I became a fan of Ishan. He is a nice actor, I would love to watch his next movie, whenever it comes. Kudos to Mrunal Thakur and her acting skills, she is doing great in films. And priyanshu painyuli who played the role of Ram, gave an outstanding performance of a strict brother, a responsible son and a dedicated and brave soldier. He also gave his 101% while playing the role of Mohammad Nadeef as a citizen of west Pakistan, which was a disguised character of Ram in west Pakistan.
