Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest(2006)
Oh my God.as usual, I’m horrendously late in posting my reviews on popular titles.
I liked the prequel(Curse of the Black Pearl) better but Dead Man’s Chest
too has its share of high-octane action and enough humour to keep you
either giggling or laughing at intervals. As the most endearing
character in POC(Pirates of Caribbean) series, *Johnny Depp *aka
Captain Jack Sparrow continues in top form. He must have loved every
moment of the shooting of POC. For an interview, he said
something like, "I’m being paid riddiculous amounts(for POC) to do
something that I enjoy." As supporting characters, *Orlando Bloom *and *Keira Knightley *are also totally convincing.
Somewhere during the movie, I felt the story kinda takes a backseat.
There is just simply more action and less of engaging dialogues or
drama for us to enjoy(compared to the prequel).
But the Dead Man still rocks. Watch out for the climax again. Arrival
of a certain major character in the end surges our excitement to grab
the DVD of the last movie in the series - POC: At the World’s End. I
truly hope to watch it or die trying.har, har, har:)
