The first time I watched this movie was at a theatre with a group of friends & that was four years back.Till now I never get bored of watching this movie again & again.Infact, if you’ve never enjoyed this movie, then either you don’t like watching films ever or you’re plain crazy.This movie keeps you glued to the screen from the beginning till the end.Elizabeth Swann(Keira Knigtley) dreams of the first time she met William Turner(Orlando Bloom) eight years ago.She was a young girl who was fascinated with pirates & adventure.Her father(Jonathan Pryce), the Governor, was always afraid that her fascination with pirates would put her in trouble one day.She spots a young boy lying unconscious on a floating raft & notifies her father.The crew saves him & Elizabeth identifies his gold chain as a pirate medallion & takes it away from him while he’s still unconscious.Meanwhile her father & Captain Norrington(Jack Davenport) of the Royal Navy realize that there’s been a bloody pirate attack on a British vessel. She wakes up from her dream & ties the chain(which she still has after all these years) to her neck.Now, the young Will has grown up into a fine & handome young man.He earns his living as a crafted blacksmith & fancies Elizabeth.Unfortunately for Will, Captain Norrington, now promoted to the post of Commodore also fancies her.One fine day, the crew of the accursed ship-the Black Pearl, headed by the fiersome Captain Barbossa(Geoffery Rush), kidnap Elizabeth for her gold trinket.Little does she know what the medallion means to the Captain & his crew.And why exactly do they keep her even after she hands over the trinket to the Captain?What exactly do they plan do do with her?Will, knowing that Elizabeth has been kidnapped to the Black Pearl, seeks the help of Captain Jack Sparrow(Johnny Depp), a well-known & crooked pirate to locate the ship.Will’s intentions are crystal clear-to find the Black Pearl & save his love, Elizabeth.But what exactly is in it for Jack?Who is Jack Sparrow & why does he agree to help Will?How did Will end up with the pirate medallion eight years back?The film manages to send shivers down your spine & is loaded with tons of action & adventure.The sword fight scenes are carried out with precision.Johnny Depp does an excellent job as Captain Jack Sparrow.One can’t help but fall in love with Jack’s character.Orlando & Keira have also acted well.Geoffery Rush as Captain Barbossa is really vile & fierce.Finally, please do watch the movie till it’s very end-by that I mean till the final credits get over.I say that for a good reason.
