I love Pizza and when in Bombay, I miss the Italian flavoured ones. Dominos and Pizza Hut are too mass produced and run-of-the-mill badly prepared pizza outlets in Bombay.
Why do I call it Pizza By the Sea? Well, this place is located at Marine Drive, facing the Arabian Sea.
The ambience is not too attractive. The place is usually very crowded and the seating arrangement is pretty unusual, non-conventional. I like the old- parsi restaurant chairs that they have.
My favourite items are Garlic bread, pasta sauce and the Four-Seasons pizza. Pasta can be combined with sphagetti or any other item of your choice. Garlic bread is usually very fresh, but the pizza crust can be stale. Topping choices are unlimited--veg. as well as non. veg.
Service is not upto the mark. I think the managers cannot handle the rush. Although the waiters and servers are extremely polite. Very trendy crowd. You will find lot of Indians as well as foreigners. I dont think the prices are very high. However, they can improve on the service.
Not a place to hold business meeting...and certainly not a place if you want privacy. Best suited for college kids, young and trendy crowd.
Love,
Kaajal
