This is a rejoinder to my previous review on Pizza Hut – just to give you gluttons an update that this favorite pizza joint of mine has just completed one year in Bombay, India ( I refuse to use the name MUMBAI )
To celebrate their first anniversary they had some promotional chatpatta Indian improvisations to their regular fare which was quite a change from the basic cheese and pepperoni stuff.
Besides they have also started a new home delivery service aptly named ‘deliver me home’ in which they promise to deliver your order within 30 minutes or they give a 50% discount coupon to be redeemed with your next order(clever, eh !) This service is presently available only at their Juhu outlet, but soon to be launched in Bandra as well.
Incidentally I vote their pizzas as truly sumptuous and the best one can find in Bombay. I invite contrary opinions if any to enlighten me here.
Now that’s what a pizza should be like- The excellent ads notwithstanding-their pizzas are worth the wait ( I had to wait one and a half hour to get a table for four on Sunday last at Juhu-Bombay)
Really cheesy – the kinds that melt in your mouth – and excellent ambience – great pizzas to choose from – what more could one ask for.
Expensive? – Yes!
But true value for money – Once in a while its OK to blow it up and gorge on these scrumptious and appetizing gastronomical delights – calories not counting!
I heard these guys will be shortly opening one more outlet in Bandra – they have leased out the Bawa International joint on Linking Rd. Well, they are going to give the Dominoes and Birdy’s a run for their money.
In Juhu they have a winner – all three stories – polite staff and boy, do they have patience!
The scene can get rough, cause they have a hungry crowd waiting on any weekend.
They do try their damndest to juggle their tables and chairs (at which they are really good) to accommodate as many people as they can.
Their pizzas are the best in town so far and if they keep up their act they are going to have a great future in Bombay and the other cities of India.
No home deliveries, but they do have a take away feature which is also quite attractive for those unable to control their salivary glands while waiting.
