I have been to Pizza Hut in almost 10 cities around the world. The experience has been great almost every where except for in Kolkota.
So this review is about the Pizza Hut in Kolkota.
The first thing that welcomes you is a nice little fly by singing a nice welcome tune in your ear before guiding you to your table for the lunch.
One has to wait endlessly for gaining attention to place an order.
We give our order specifically telling ’’ Please bring Garlic bread before you get me the pizza’’ The order is understood and repeated.
My mouth is already watering at the thought of the succulent garlic bread supreme that is to arrive. Instead comes the Pizza. I ask the gentelmen where is the Garlic Bread he looks at me as if I am speaking Chinese. On explaining the things to him he decides to take the Pizza back and bring the bread first.
Ok the bread arrives. But instead of succulent, golden Garlic bread supreme I love at pizza hut we get some thing black at the bottom and near brown on top reminding you or a Brownie cake. We decide to have it considering this is just not our day.
What your are sick of my sob story already??? Wait the juicy part is still to come my friend.
While we are still nibbling on the last part of the bread comes a waiter with bill to us. I question him what the bill is for. He smugly informs this bill is for the pizza. We are wondering which pizza it was taken back and was to come after the Garlic bread. The waiter looks confused ( Each time a different waiter is coming to us) and vanishes like rabbit from a Magician’s hat.
After waiting about 5 minutes we get our pizza. Our because this is the same pizza which came before Garlic bread( I can tell as this is not the usual piping hot pizza but rather cold).
So friends we have our pizza pay our bills. Yes only bills and no Tips!! and walk out with our Great Eating experience at Pizza Hut Kolkota.
This kind of thing has never happened to me in any Pizza Hut ever since they came to India or any where else where I have been to a Pizza Hut.
VERDICT: CITY DOES MATTERS!!!
I reccomend Pizza Hut everywhere but Kolkota
Communist Kolkota may have a Pizza Hut but no service concept yet.
