Everywhere I see, people praising Amir Khan and Raju Hirani for their recently released movie PK!
I have seen PK with my wife in Gaithersburg, MD(That is 2 hours drive one way and crossing Washington DC traffic). May be I was frustrated by traffic that I didn’t enjoy it much!
It was fun, do not get me wrong! There was never a dull(or should I say Lull) moment. The dialogues, comic timing was really good. PK, Bhairon, Jagat Janani, Tapasvi were very well acted. Sushant did a Jimmy Shergill/Joy Lobo kind of role and he was good too! Parikshat Sahni was again in "Kapoor Saab kya kahenge" mode!
Somehow, I was expecting some message from the film. I liked Kick more cause I went without any expectation(also had to buy some Indian groceries and some shopping anyways) but this was 4 hours drive just for this movie! There was a message no doubt but it gave me a feeling that I was watching Ohh My God Returns(I have posted that on FB right after watching the film). In fact Kanji Mehta was more realistic than our Jodhpuri alien.
The film has a good(and repeated) message and you would definitely enjoy it - just do not expect 3 idiots!
