This small beautiful town facing the calm Bay of Bengal is known for its hospitality, food, beaches and people ! A 4 hours drive from Chennai airport and you are in paradise. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a budget holiday. French town, Aurobindo Ashram, Paradise Beach, Rock Beach, Temples and Churches are a must visit. Would recommend dining at RendezVous Rooftop restaurant and try the bread pudding with Baileys. Also the tandoori red snapper at Le Chateau was awesome. A visit to Shri Krishna sweets for the Mysore Pak and local flavored chikkis. Chicken 65 and the sea food is a must as well. I hope this small review of mine would add some more eager visitors to this beautiful city. I am already planning on my second visit only for the food and peace !
