Of all the other places I’ve been to, this one seemed to be much of a hangout joint, mostly frequented by college students and big groups. Not really a place to choose if one’s looking for a quiet time with that special’friend’ of yours.
Although Pop Tates is known for its cheaply priced hard drinks, especially beers, the service, in my opinion wasn’t up to the mark. Each time one has to wait for the waiter’s attention and if you’re lucky enough, they’ll attend you. More so, because I’m not really the person to keep summoning them over and over again. In that case, I’d rather leave than simply waste my time with an irresponsible hosting.
The main course, however, is decent but nothing to go crazy about. Though I’m not to sure about the Indian cuisine as I had tried the Thai Curry rice and chicken soup. Also, music plays an essential role in defining the ambiance of such restaurants, which was a disappointment in this particular case.
If you just want to kill time chatting with your group and nothing else is really a concern, i.e., the food or the drinks, you are most welcome as they won’t even bother to interrupt you for the order. Take my word on that. Personally, I will never visit this place again, ever. Not too much of a people’s person, you see.
