I am writing this review after undergoing painstaking experience with Popular Automobiles Trivandrum. I booked a Swift Dzire on April 12th and got delivered on August 23rd (after a long 131 days waiting). During this period I have never been informed about the delivery date. Leave that as I am happy that my vehicle is delivered.
At the time of delivery, the accessories marketing people inside the showroom sacked me to buy Rs. 28, 000 worth accessories. Seat Cover - MGA (Rs. 8000- art leather) , Reverse Parking Sensor (Rs. 13, 000- with camer and 4 sensors), Teflon Coating (Rs. 3500), Under Body Coating (Rs. 3500), and Sun Cool Film (Rs. 3500). Ofcourse they are kind enough to offer me Rs. 3000 discount.
They played tricky game in this. Even I dont know which brand of parking sensor is that. They have pulled out a seat cover from a plastic bag on which the price was sticked as Rs. 4750 and I was charged Rs. 8000. This teflon coating is another hype. I dont know whether they have coated my car’s underbody with something. Reliability with this dealer was 0%. Recently I read in newspaper that in their Hyundai Showroom they did some fraudulence by replacing original parts with bad ones.
So people who are planning to buy a maruti from popular should be very vigilant if you buy accessories. Better not to by any from them.
