I had a bitter experience with "Popular Vehicles and services" three months back. I had purchased Maruthi Ciaz VDI plus from "popular showroom" Anna nagar in October 2016. Unfortunately during march 2017, we met with an accident in ECR road near mahabalipuram. It was a front and rear collision due to insane driving skills of a share auto driver. Both front and rear of the car was damaged badly and we called the "popular vehicles and Services" to send us a tow vehicle. But the reply was rather shocking "We dont have a tow vehicle right now, please manage yourself"
We were shocked by this rude attitude of the service personnel who would literally plead us for taking the car for maintenance service each year(we had a swift VDI prior to Ciaz). Without any other options we managed to drive back the damaged car slowly to Chennai. Once we had reached "Popular Vehicles and services" retteri, there was another big shock waiting for us. The service Advisory after going through the RC, insurance papers and analyzing the damage in the car told that "The car cant be repaired in this Service station and it has to be taken to the Saligramam service station since the rear bumper has been damaged so badly and lot of tinkering work has to be done which involves a huge amount of labor. He also remarked that they involve only in painting and bodyshoping work and we have to take the damaged car by ourselves to the Saligramam service station.
I became furious and asked them to change its name to "Popular Painting Services" as they undertake only painting and regular servicing work. Then I took the car to "Rajalakshmi cars" in madhavaram and it was repaired in 15 days and it was good as new to drive:). Car was under "National Insurance" and they gave CASHLESS approval and we had to pay only around 4k out of 90k, which was the total expenditure, including labor, change of damaged parts, painting. etc.
So I would advice maruthi car owners to better Stay away from so called "Popular Vehicles and services".
