Ive been to this restaurant a couple of times. The atmosphere and deco is decent. And most of the stuff they present on the table tastes good too. Alas for the presentation however.
The last time I visited this restaurant was during Thanksgiving, And Ive got to painfully admit, the sight wasnt pretty. Sorry to have to say this, it did look like yuck on plate. Yep!
When customers come for fine dinning, and shell out ten times more for an experience, least said, they should be presented with one. Needless to say otherwise, they are getting conned. Or may be its time the chef needs to sharpen his skills?
Ive been visiting fine dinning places for a while now, apart form the fact that, I myself indulge in the art of culinary experience as a hobby. And to sum it briefly, "The Art of culinary experience" is called an "Art" cause it is so fittingly.
"Through the eyes of the fine customer, the main gastronomical experience is about the art of food presentation on his plate. The combination of well laid out colors, textures and aromas, bombarding his visual and nasal senses, prepending the digestive process to get the juices flowing already in anticipation of his meal is the goal."
Hence accordingly I did anticipate the main course to be well laid out(In this case, Turkey) using the primary and the various sauces, including the micro herbs to add that fresh hint apart from color texture and taste. Instead some beige, brown pieces of solids with some sauces huddled together in the center of my plate ruined my appetite.
Sorry If I seem harsh, alas pricey restaurants just cannot make room for gaucherie nor excuses.
