If you wanted to install more than 1 OS on your system,
you might have realised that partitioning is a big pain in every organ.
Default Linux install especially requires a swap partition and a LINUX EXT2 partition.
So you just install Partition Magic and let it wave its magic wand over your HDD.
It actually handles everything from moving, renaming, resizing, making new partitions and deleting old ones.
You can even ask it to check for errors on your partition table.
It shows you free space in case you left out any and can make new partitions in any format you want.
You can also hide partitions so that no one else has access to it (wierd stuff).
Fianlly in case of major screw up, the dos versions come in handy to correct things.
Also the BOOT MAGIC software with it, allows for multi booting and even setting time delay of load and graphic to display.
A fantastic software overall.
This was about ver 5.
ATTN: WIN 98 ME has minimal dos support and hence requires ver 6 of partition magic to work.
