Pramukh HyundaiPrabhadevi/ Chembur Service AVOID!

We purchased our i20 Asta in May 2011 from Pramukh(formerly Jayabharat) Hyundai, Prabhadevi. We gave our car for first servicing on 9 th July 2011 afternoon at their Chembur service Centre.


That evening we had already signed documents taking delivery in good faith at the service centre, when we noticed a fresh scratch on my car near the driver seat window, just as we were getting in to drive the car. The scratch is on the window rim & a one inch scratch on the body.


We showed it to the supervisor Chandraprakash.The Surpervisor accepted that the scratch was not there before the service & started enquiring with technicians as to how it happened. Chandraprakash asked us to speak with the manager Mr Parag Shah to help process the repairs .


The manager, Mr Parag Shah kept saying in front of my husband, that if its a scratch made here , it’ll be deducted from Chandraprakash’s salary.So 15 mins later Chandraprakash said "the scratch was there from before". Its the shameless dishonesty that took me aback.If you threaten you own employee in front of the customer saying, that in case of an error it will be cut from the employee’s salary, how will any employee ever accept a mistake?


We further asked them to examine the document where the scratches/dents were recorded preservice. So Mr Parag said, even if this scratch is not recorded there on the sheet, its maybe because the supervisor missed marking it !! But he is sure its from before!!!!!! Cant be a more brazen lie!


Further, they refused to share the copy of the document where the scratches/dents were recorded preservice, which they are now free to manipulate as they did not share it with us.


We complained to Mr Chandraballi VP (Pramukh, Prabhadevi) who repeated the managers’ words & refused repairs.


Needless to say after fighting for 2 hours we did not get the repairs and left with a bad taste in our mouth about the entire affair.


I have been getting my other Hyundai Santro serviced at Modi Hyundai Thane for the last 7 years & never had a bad experience.There’s no place for dishonesty for a brand like Hyundai.


Pramukh Hyundai sucks big time. They are brazenly dishonest and have no idea of what customer service is. Purchase your car from them or get it serviced from Pramukh at your own risk!
