I have a Maruti swift bought from Pratham motors, Bangalore in 2006 end. I got a discount since it was December. Finance plans were good and though it got delayed for around 2 weeks, they got it done. The delivery related things were average. The power windows which I got didnt look like the ones I was promised. The sales rep just talked it off. But since things were euphoric then I complained lightly and left it there. But things came bad after I started using the car. The window glasses started shaking. The seats started making squeaking sounds.The dashboard started shivering whenever I took the car out. The clutch was the worst. It was so bad that the car jumped and came to a stop, whenever I took my feet off it. The pratham technicians couldnt solve the problem at all. They kept coming but the problems remained. There were days when they will come to my office car park and explore the car door for squeaking sounds while the sound will be coming from the back seat.
Many a times I will be the one to point out their mistake.In the end the problems never got solved in any of the services(3 services).Car washing used to be done nicely, may be to cover up the problems. I used to give bad ratings to the service. But pratham will call me exhorting me to give good ratings. Some young girl low down the hierarchy will be calling on their behalf and it was no use talking to them. The inability and incompetence of the technicians cannot be solved by smooth talks. The door rattling problem remained and nobody at pratham cared(except for the ratings). But now my warranty is over I no longer take my car to them. The local Maruti authorized one I went to recently, solved most of the problems. I am planning to write to Maruti directly about pratham service.
