My experience with Pratham Motors, Bellandur branch, Bangalore.
Initially contacted them on phone for a car purchase. The receptionist told Kiran P will be avaialble and so, scheduled the date and time.
Upon going there, Kiran is missing handling me to other exceutive, who has more eye on money, no idea on the financing, tries to drag money from the customers by selling more accessories and charging for everything. She is blunt and irresponsible. No respect. Goes in the middle and comes back without saying anything. You must search for her after 5 minutes, wait patiently for her to return.
My next call, after deleting Pratham Motors from the list, was from Kiran P, who called me and explained all the finance options, price, discounts and the accessories that I get for free. All these on phone. I scheduled a visit to the Dealer as I was not comfortable on phone.
OK... in the showroom, met the executive, greetings done, explained the things all around, guided me and explained the pros of the car. Provided me with the brochure, the finance options and other perspectives why I need to purchase from them. Changed my mind from NO to OK.
Then, on the same day at around 2000 hrs, got a call from him again stating the finance options that he can provide me more with less interest and less EMI and less down payment options. Changed my opinion from OK to GOOD.
Booked the car, waiting for the delivery. Prompt delivery on the said date and all handled well. The person who explains the technology of the car is bad. Explained nothing even after saying its my first car. I was confused with the options that he provided and everything was out of my mind. He got confused and confused me. I drove for a kilometer with the hand brake on. Then realized that the hand brake was on. All well and then experienced my first ride. WOW!!! experience.
Realized later, after 2 days that the accessories that they gave me were not worth 15K, which they charged. They are worth 5K - 8K. I ordered for four SONY speakers, which was actually agreed upon with the executive. I got only two SONY speakers and two BLAUPUNKT. They told me SONY XPLOD big speakers with woofer effect whlist got small XPLOD speakers. They told that I will get the good version of the SONY stereo but I got the older version, rather obsolete one from them.
When questioned immediately, they said fingers crossed, nothing can be done.
I complained to Maruti directly but they failed to take an action.
The rating I gave on the dealer to Maruti was worst still nothing happened.
Immediately, the executive called me next day, forcing me to provide an email to Pratham Motors that its not his fault. He called me atleast 10 to 15 times, to send an email to them that its not his fault and wants me to provide GOOD feedback in the mail. With his pestering and force, I sent an email with bad comments, even stating that I am forced to send this email.
No call again from the executive or from Pratham Motors.
Later, in February 2008, got a call for the PRE SERVICE of the car. I scheduled it. I specifically asked the lady who called me, if its a free service or pre service. She stressed its a pre-service and not free service. They wont cut the receipt for this service and its free - pre service.When going there on the specified date, I found that the call is fake and they dont have the PRE SERVICE kind. The service manager, dealt with the car and returned my car stating its a faulty call thats made from Pratham Motors. It was my busy day and I spent atleast 2 hours with them, to get whats happening on. Time waste.
The service is not good, no customer reception. If we go in, no one cares for what reason we are there. We need to specifically tell them that we are here for this reason. Receptionists see us but keep quite.
The car will be serviced OK but the guidelines followed in washing the car are not followed. You will still see the dust in the corners of the car. Not all perfectly washed.
You must spend atleast 30 minutes for a service engineer to come and attend your request. They will be roaming around, but wont care us.
Worst service center. I always filled the feedback form BAD, but never they take care and never they call you what happened and why the feedback, which means, either they dont care the customers or they are not bothered of their faults or feedback.
Before you go to Pratham Motors for buying the car, please make sure you get what you asked for. Else, you will cheated greatly. Anyways, everyone earns their commission in selling a product but we suffer at last as customers.
Think twice before you think of Pratham Motors.
