I recently purchased a Wagon R from their RajajaiNagar outlet.
Being a first time car owner, I chose a vehicle from TrueValue, believing that it would ensure better standards. the vehicle was advertised with a Central locking system, among accessories.
The vehicle over all was in good condition, and well maintained, and was serviced well. the behavior that managed to sour the entire experience was with respect to accessories, specifically, car Security system.
The vehicle was installed with Thorn security system. I did not test the central lock system at the outlet. On reaching home , I discovered that it was defective. On contacting the outlet, I was told that this was not a Maruti approved accessory brand, and so could not be repaired at their facility.
The consistent theme in their response was that I should get it replaced at my cost. The mechanic at their Sarjapur outlet tried to repair it, and later gave up.
When I insisted that they replace/repair it, (as the vehicle was advertised with a central locking system) I was sidelined with the evergreen it is not covered under warranty.
When I asked for an alternate contact for repair of the system, I was given some contact numbers, which led to some dead ends, and responses like my mechanic has left, so I cant repair your system, .
These kind of tactics manage to alienate the customer, not only from the outlet, but from the brand as well.
By the way, my mail to maruti using this link(https://marutiudyog.com/ab/contactus.asp?ch=1&ct=10&sc=3) generated only an automated response, and then nothing- so I guess Customer responsiveness , or maybe use of e- communications is still at a nascent stage in the company.
Please test all vehicles/accessories thoroughly before making any sort of decision. TrueValue may have 120 check points, but a lot depends on the dealer staff as well.
