Pre-Paid card a boon to control one's expenditure

If there is a preference between pre-paid and post paid card, I would heavily recommend the pre-paid one to one and all except to the businessmen. The advantages are innumerable while the disadvantage is only one. The only disadvantage is that one must have ready cash to recharge the pre-paid account to keep the phone active and if you are a businessman whose calls are paid by company frequent recharging is very annoying.

The practical advantages based on my personal experience and of my friends are:

  1. Very cheap to activate an account.

  2. If the called party is unnecessarily dragging you to a long conversation on unimportant matters being a friend or relative, it will be discourteous to disconnect abruptly. But since the amount in your account will be small, the call will automatically disconnect when you have consumed the balance in your account without you being discourteous.

  3. If the mobile set is stolen, all that you lose is the cost of the set plus a little balance in your account.

  4. You get all facilities of a post paid connection for a very less price.

  5. By suitably recharging your account, you can fully control your expenditure in phone calls.

  6. You can safely present such facilities to your children and your better half who are not earning members.

  7. No hassle of filling income tax forms to own a phone.

  8. It is like a personal pay phone booth [ where calls made have to be paid in cash] without the need to walk physically to the booth.
