Pre Paid Relief v/s Post Paid Tensions

The cellular companies have started the concept of the Pre-paid and Post-paid services for the benefit of the customers. But more often the post paid connection is useful for the corporate connections only as they give along many other beneficial schemes and the tariff plans. The best services in the market is seen through the users who are into the usage of Pre-paid card.

The mobile companies which are giving their services in the Pre-paid at the competitive rates is only BSNL and Reliance (which has started its pre-paid services recently). The rates of BSNL which is giving a good coverage as well and roaming facility free of charge, low call tariffs, easy usage plans. The biggest benefit of the pre-paid is that we get to know the status of our mobile usage as soon as we make a call and we get to know how much is left in the card to be used for making the calls.

Whereas, in the post-paid connection you get to know the call rates after you have made calls and that too with some surprising amounts being added to your bills. The CLIP charges, surcharge, extra calls, sms (if provided free under some scheme). This causes some sort of worry for the users.

The pre-paid card denominations are available in the market starting from Rs. 300 in which one gets the full talk time but due to introduction of the 8% sales / service tax into the mobile service providers by TRAI one has to pay along with the taxes included i.e. the card denominations is available now for Rs. 324. The other denominations which are available in the pre-paid connections are Rs. 500, Rs. 1000 and Rs. 3000 as well.

The post-paid connections seeing the competitive scenario in the market have started the recharge coupons of the denominations of as less as Rs. 100 now but this doesn’t match with the pre-paid ones at any cost as they are just for time span of 3 days only. Whereas, when one gets the new pre-paid connection the minimum grace period for the recharge is of 7 days.

The cost - effective connections are pre-paid ones and the best player in the field of this service is BSNL / MTNL (Dolphin, Garuda, Trump). Now along with them has entered the another name of Reliance which would be a major competitive move by the Telecom major who has recently took the Electrical BSES as well. The Reliance is making big moves and would be undisputed leader in the times to come.

The Debate is never ending but the outcome would be in the favour of Pre-paid card only as it gives the user the liberty of using the card at his own will and there are no hidden costs as well. So, enjoy the calls and usage of Pre-paid services.

Happy calling !!!
