If you buy products for their looks, you should buy Preethi Blue Leaf. As I do not understand technicalities of mixies I opted for the good-looking one. The shopkeeper also offered a good rate for it in exchange of my old Maharaja mixie, which was running amazingly well inspite of being 5 years old. Anyway, ’got to have a new mixie’ bug had bitten me and I chose blue leaf.
it looked good, it had these chutney jars that doubled up as lid of the mixie jar and also as a chutney storage box.
soon after I started using it, I realized that the chutney jar was weakest link. one extra garlic and the lid would fly off in mid-operation. you had to choose your lid with care.
the mixie also heats up very soon(in 1 minute or lesser time-no exaggeration here) so if you plan to use a mixie to grind dosa-idli batter, wada batter, dals, etc. I highly recommend you to not to buy the Preethi Blue Leaf.
i have not gone to the company with my complaints. honestly, I do not have time for it after 10 hours at work.
