Well guys, this is my first review on mouthshut and unfortunately, I start with a poor rated review of one of the most boring movies i’ve seen in many years...thank god, I saved my neck from goin all the way to a theatre to watch this saga of endless woes..of a woman’s longing and despair...huff puff...better off, i was sitting in my favourite couch in front of my television with some chips and cola...!! Well, I confess, the only reason for watching this movie was the gorgeous Madhuri. I was expecting some eye candy song n dance as is usual in her movies. To that point I won’t say that I was enormously disappointed. There are a few visual delights in this ’saga’ as well!!
Nevertheless, coming back to this woe granth, the story is as simple as it gets...rich boy meets poor gal, falls in love, parents intervene...try evrything to break ’em apart..now comes the twist, mads is the eye candy of a local goon, who is always drooling over her derriere...(and why not...her outfits are simply scandalous!!)so one fine night, the bad guy gets hold of her in an isolated place and brutally rapes her.Now she’s fallen apart...but somehow she lingers on...and thus begins her tale of woes...aurat teri yahi kahani kinda stuff..uff..enough!! In between she gives birth to a child..who for some reason dies..more woes...(after this point i’d started feeling uneasy and kept skipping channels.. )When I somehow came back, mads had reunited with rishi uncle(or shud I say dadaji!!) But for obvious reasons kept away from our hero...fearing her little secret could become public...so soon she writes a letter to hero uncle about what happened with her...only problem is tht the letter never really reaches hero uncle...soon everybody’s happy and a few song n dance sequences follow...Just what Madhuri is apt at doing!! And I have to confess, being a guy, I wasnt drooling any less..Now, you guys would agree that this woman does have a sensual appeal. And she has proved it time and again in tezaab, beta, khalnayak etc. Too bad she quit. That genuine sensuality is all gone nowadays. I for one believe that sensuality is not out n’ out skin show. It can be expressed by eyes in a much better way. So the songs will provide you some relief..visually at least...
Well, coming back to the story once again, after this, some misunderstandings follow, but they are soon sortedout and the bad guy is punished in true filmi style...and our hero uncle finally unites with the gal!! finally!! This movie is hell breakingly long and would win the title from a tortoise.. Go watch this movie only if you are a MAdhuri fan...for anything else, this movie is a big disappointment, a wastage of three long and precious hours..
