This prestige kettle is best ever cooking equipment I have ever used. Although there are many many kettles out there with very stylish designs and translucent water gauge, but still I prefer this particular Prestige PKSS 1.0 electric kettle because it has proved its value as I am using it since last 5 years!
Those kettles with stylish designs, plastic body and very superior looking are just meant to boil water only as they are difficult to wash!
This kettle comes with very simple look, but it is not just meant for boiling water. One can cook instant soups/noodles. Even eggs are very nicely boiled in it.One can even reheat rice along with some curries or any liquid dish. and if you are quiet creative and skilled you can even fry cooked rice in it. Just add little oil/ghee/butter.let it heat.as it is auto cut.it will take few minutes.It will again re-on automatically, After 2-3 cut outs onion/other veggie will be partially fried as required for fried rice. Add some sauce, some chilies, mix cooked rice, salt.and.there you go.
Perfect fried rice. when you do not have gas stove/induction/microwave.or when you can’t order a meal due to any reason.!
Another important thing to note is that. as it is not like a boiler, so milk may spill out and it can get wasted and messy. So one should switch it off timely when milk starts to simmer.! One just need to get used to it. and always can find a perfect helper in it.!
It is very easily cleaned. Just pour little water and switch it on. keep aside for few minutes.even burnt out food stuck at base will soften and is easily washed off using any utensil washing liquid/soap.It is detachable from its cord coil(base where its connected).So connecting coil wont get wet while washing as happens in case of other kettles which are non-detachable.
Best part is that, this kettle I am having, once fell accidentally few years ago.It got a good crack in its base, near where there is indicator light and still it is in same working condition.! It has proved its worth.!
