How much do you read? Tell me friends. honestly. how many of you have a good morning tea with a newspaper on hand and how many with the clicking mouse in your palm. Personally none. but I know my friends whom I call genius or rather computer geniuses. when I call them I get to hear they are reading the newspaper.
Well no doubt people that this is a computer age. or what it is also called the https:// age. But time has not yet eliminated the routine newspaper nor has technology been able to eliminate it from your hand. Once upon a time newspaper meant first hand information agreed. But now the story has changed. first hand means.online. The latest updates and information can be found here. so I absolutely agree it is updated and practically a better option and more useful. But less popular.
The online news reaches to a huge mass agreed. but not the complete mass. The meekly 15 pages newspaper carries with it information to the complete mass. A person who doesn?t know how to read would also be found with a newspaper at times. The colorful screen gives you a lot of descriptive data of the latest news and researches and surveys but the black and white piece of paper is no less.
If not a 24 hr. updation channel newspaper does provide all the important and basic information early morning which is decent enough to follow the day. A multi milliner or billionaire can also be found with a newspaper in his hand. I aren?t surprised. and am sure you wouldn?t be. to know that Bill Gates reads a newspaper. the computer genius again.(oh he is not he friend I was referring too.;).
A Salesman to a Businessman. A student to a Beggar can be found with that 1 rupee newspaper. I don?t deny the fact that online news gives you promotional advertisements of flash which are better for your publicity. but the publicity depends on your public. or the market. There are many Managing Directors and CEO’s I know who are highly educated and yet have never referred to an online news.
Though online news is best place to be but soft copy has not yet gained a lot of scope compared to the hard copy. A thin sheet of paper is yet valued more than a Online news channel. Personally I would also not want this piece of paper to vanish from the hands of the individuals I see carrying. If the vanish nor would the tea taste the same. nor would a mother scold a child to read a newspaper and underline and improve English. nor would a wife be angry on her husband to find the newspaper more interesting than her.
There are a lot of thing this newspaper adds to our lives. in our country it means something beyond a sheet. something beyond words.FEELING!
