Was moving my stuff from Mumbai to Gurgaon. Promised to do it in 5 days but took 11 after I dont know how many phone calls. Must have spent 500 Rs on STD alone.
Then they refused to unload the stuff before receiving payment - and this after promising to compensate me for the delay.
The unpackers were even rude to my~60 yr old mother.
Needless to say, several items were broken - including expensive crockery, a fridge and a microwave. Add to this, they lost some clothes stands I was transporting. While they offered a paltry Rs 500 for the clothes stand, they refused to do anything about the other items.
This is the very worst in customer experience and I do hope the govt takes note and sets up some sort of regulatory body to oversee these horrendous packers and movers.
Update(30-Dec-09): They called to say that the missing clothes stands were now in Delhi - they dropped them off this morning and were very polite and apologetic. Of course, they did take the 500 rs I had held back. They also said they would try and have the fridge repaired. Let’s see.
