I want to tell about my very good experience I had with Propix. There the person was very knowledgeable and helpful. Even after they found that I have a good budget, they did not make me spend it all on wrong items. In fact they pursuaded me to buy just two things that would be of god value and save the remaining money.
I wanted to buy a gift for my husband on his birthday and thought it will be best if it was something that he really wanted. After many days of detective work, I slowly found out that he wanted things like a new camera, lens and other photographic godies. I did not know much about SLR cameras, though I have been always using small point and shoot cameras.
I went to GK Vale, Whizz, Chroma and also Ezone and staples. Everywhere the sales people were not very knowledgeable. When they found that I had a budget of Rs.90000, they all were trying to sell me expensive camera models, which I did not know much about. My friend suggested that I should refer to https://propix.in. She said that this was a Bangalore company located in Ramamurthy nagar. I got the phone number of the shop from the internet and called them. They asked me about the camera that my husband presently uses, and they invited me to their shop. I went there and they showed me some lenses and also said that I can take a camera.
First time, a camera store told me not to buy a new camera. They said that my husbands present camera Nikon D200 was still very good and no need to waste money on a new model. They said that I can buy a Carl Zeiss lens, and a good tripod. This surprised me, because I had already decided that I may really have to end up buying a new camera! The shop person told me that the best lens in the world was Carl Zeiss and when they found out that my husband likes to take photos of landscapes, city and markets they said I can easily buy a 28mm lens from Carl Zeiss, which will be a sensible decision. They showed me a lot of tripods, but since I did not know much about all this, they helped me, and said to buy something of medium load capability. They offered Uni-Loc tripod for Rs17, 500 and said that my husband can put even very big lens on that.
Overall I bought 1 Carl Zeiss lens, 1 Uni-loc tripod and 1 Uni-Loc tripod head with a quick plate. This whole thing cost me only 78000 rupees and I was really happy with the entire experience.
And they also gave me a free camera cleaning kit and some filters. When I showed it to my husband, he was was so thrilled with the gifts. He has been using the lens and tripod all the time, and he also has started to buy all his material for photography from Propix, recommends https://propix.in to all his friends also.
Propix staff is very professional and helpful. It is a much better option than buying in big shops like Ezone or Staples where the sales people dont know anything.
