It was for almost a decade that I had the Vcd of Pulp Fiction but never had the courage to watch a movie about violence, drugs and homosexuality. A few friends even told me that you could give the movie a miss. After watching the movie I have asked my friends who advised me to miss the movie to go for rehabilitation. Such has been the impact of a movie which is a just a movie.
No Glorifications, no preaching, just art. It is not a perfect movie for the simple reason that art can never be perfect. It just takes you to a level which you have not travelled earlier. Its like a bus journey, with uncomfortable seats, reckless bus driver, rocky road and a destination which you are not aware. You are simply travelling. Here the journey is important not the destination.
However I would like to state here that if there are a million people who have watched Pulp Fiction than Quentin Tarantino has ensured that there a million different bus journeys. It is very rare in movies that just after one viewing you can remember the name of the characters. But in this case you remember almost every character and every chapter like the back of your hand. It is becoming very difficult to review a movie like this. Just watch.End of story.
