Is there anybody out there?

You don’t tell them to bury the light. Don’t give in, without a fight… If I say life is music would you ask me to keep my mouth-shut? If I sing a song for all my friends out of bliss would you ask me stay away? In a pot where few list of albums mentioned and some related snaps were put, I chose to write one of my all time favorite bands in the world. And this is all about their live concert called P.U.L.S.E by PINK FLOYD. This review is a tribute for the legends who entertained us with various tunes that beats our pulse and leave us with a thought ‘Together we stand, Divided we fall’. So its time for me to take you all through one of the most popular concerts ever took place in Rock era. Thanks to PINK FLOYD for introducing me to the ROCK SAGA.

P.U.L.S.E starts with a tribute to Syd Barrett and the song goes like this, ‘Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun’… A tribute to the legend by his childhood friend David Gilmour who is of course one of the most talented vocalist and guitarist. Hey bro, was that in C Minor?? I don’t know but it taunts haunts whenever I listen to it. But try this one and the title is SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND**. R.I.P Syd and Wright!! Well, is there anybody out there to play a song which take us for a ride and bring us down, leaving us all alone??

The CD released on May 29, 1995, this one is highly recommended. And the second track is of course one of my favorites and its ASTRONOMY DOMINE by Syd Barrett. This track will take you to a psychedelic trip and sang on stage by Richard Wright and David Gilmour

Oh Gilmour why do you sing songs from your past. Why do you have to sing this and I am already downloaded almost all kind of its version. And for all music lovers, rock is not about HARD MUSIC. Try listening to its lyrics and if you don’t agree with me then please listen to COMING BACK TO LIFE and get back to me!! You reached for the secrets so soon, cried for the moon… I still remember watching this video and there was a gag once he finished and then a round of applauds.

David Gilmour and Jon Carin sang ‘HEY YOU’ and this track inspired me and of course the lines were heavy. Floyd is known for its psychedelic notes and if you want to try this one, then I must say ‘Statutory Warning:Don’t get addicted’… All alone and still with few memoirs you wander so high to realize life is just one breath and still think ‘Never, Never, Never Give Up’

HIGH HOPES is one song that made many go crazy. Many musicians for not knowing the actual CHORD that they had to play and left they COMFORTABLY NUMB. Especially the last 3 minutes of the song is just thrilling. You sit, admire Gilmour running his fingers through the instrument and of course it does SMELLS LIKE TEEN SPIRIT!!

We don’t need no education and we don’t need no thought control. I wonder why do people judge someone by his Education and for all the time spent in that dark room many have come with lot of innovative stuffs that left us think ‘ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL’ was written for all of them.

Us and Them by Waters, Wright sang this to let us know that we all are ordinary men… This one is a sweet melody… ‘Me and you, God only knows there is not worth you would choose to do’… Whenever I listen to this I imagine a scene where a boat being floated over a red sea and there is just one person in it looking his past and realize ‘After all we all are ordinary men’.

WISH YOU WERE HERE was another tribute to Syd Barrett. Gilmour and Waters was surprised to spot Syd in a concert and to their surprise, they just couldn’t identify him. He had put on weight, shaved his head off and of course his eye brows too. Quite strange but it’s sad that a talented soul who gave lots to music ended his career in a short span of time. And that’s just four years of time.  This song talks their heart out. This song let us know how much they miss him. We all miss him. Aren’t we?

I’m comfortably numb writing about PINK FLOYD’s P.U.L.S.E and this album is all about their life and its mandatory for those who would like to go through the pasture called ‘Nostalgia’. There are many more in the list but then I chose to write my favorite songs in it.

To end with the review let me type out the first stanza of this song,

"Hello, Hello, Hello

Is there anybody in there

Just nod if you can hear me

Is there anyone home

Come on come on now

I hear you feeling down

I can ease your pain

Get you on your feet again

Relax relax relax

I need some information first

Just the basic facts

Can you show me where it hurts?’"

Life is all about us and them... or is it like you and me? Sounds better. And like they said “Strangers passing in the street

By chance two separate glances meet

And I am you and what I see is me.

And do I take you by the hand

And lead you through the land

And help me understand

The best I can”

Thank You all for reading it... The show must go on... Cheers!!
