I’m so disappointed: they don’t make my favorite Puma’s anymore! My pair is about worn out, and I wanted to replace them, as they’re the perfect athletic leather slip on. No luck: the style I love is gone. I tried to replace them with the Puma Icon Satin Slip Ons, and they don’t even come close.
The Icon Satins are similar in design to my old Pumas(I don’t even know the name of style, sadly). They’re a sporty ballet flat with feminine details, such as satin trim and criss cross straps. However, these shoes are fashion only - no good for any kind of exercise. The insole has zero support, in my opinion. These shoes aren’t made for walking - or running, or jogging.
The straps are supposed to be cute, but they’re really annoying; the whole point of a slip on is to be able to easily slip the shoe on. You can’t do that with the Icon Satins. If you try to just slip into them, your foot gets tangled in the straps. I have to actually sit down to put these on - very irritating.
The rubber sole is rugged and durable; but the upper of the shoe feels flimsy to me. I just don’t think they are going to wear well or last long, like my last pair of Pumas. I don’t absolutely hate them, but I really don’t love them.
