Monsoon’s are finally here and its raining sales all over the town. From the smallest vendor to the biggest players.
I visited some of the malls and here are my observations / findings:
Indiabulls Mega store: Indiabulls have two stores in Pune one at ICC Towers on Senapati Bapat road and the other at SGS Mall in Camp. However the stuff that has discounts are not worth the value they quote after discount. Besides the staff arent very co-operative or supportive. Besides weekends its too crowded and they have very few counters for payments which adds to the chaos. The discounts they offer are on stuff that not many people would want to buy. The stuff you want to buy do not have discounts. In short they offer discounts on old stock and not new.
West side: I visited the one located at SGS Mall and did not find anything of interest.
I visited Pune Central located at Bund Garden road and I was impressed. They had very helpful staff. The discounts were on every item displayed. From a mere 10% to max 60%. I also could not help noticing them adding fresh stock. The quality of the wares too is very good. I finally shopped at Pune Central and I did get stuff at way below normal prices.
They have sufficient counters for shoppers to pay without waiting for too long.
They have recently started another branch on the University road, which I am yet to visit, but I am sure I will not be disappointed.
However their altering department could do with some more staff. That department seems to be short staffed,
Overall, good quality stuff, discounts on everything. Polite, courteous and helpful staff. Great ambience for shopping.
Tip: Try visiting on weekdays as the bargains are better.
