I am a(sorry) user of HUL Pureit for the last 13 months(almost). I live in Bangalore. So my story is relevant for Bangalore only. One of my friends also have similar experience.
Why I choose HUL Pureit:
1.Needed RO purifier for home. We have borewell water.
2.Name and brand of HUL
Experience with servicing:
When we purchased in DECEMBER, 2013 we were told that after six months we will get a free servicing. No one bothered to call. When I called them up, they said that scheme is no longer valid.
Just about 1 year of use, we called up their technician and changed external sediment filter. As per their manual, it is supposed to be changed after 2000L of use.
3. Just after 1 year warranty period is over, the filter started taking a very long time to operate. To fill up a 10L water tank, it is supposed to take 45 minutes. But now it is taking 4-5 hours. After talking to their customer service a technician came AFTER 48 hours and changed something called "Flow Regulator". He took Rs. 250. But the problem remained the same.
After that when I reported to HUL customer service nobody came to check, For SIX DAYS I have called them up morning and evening. They finally sent the same person. He is saying that I need to change RO membrane and I better change the whole GKK2 set, as after a little while another filter may shut down. Price of GKK2 is Rs. 3650.
No warning lights for changing either GKK1 or GKK2 ever came up. TDS meter is also showing that water quality remains good. Then what is faulty - its warning system, filtering system or some other part? GKK2 is supposed to work for 8000L of water. I have hardly used 3000L.
6. So it seems we have to shell out large amount of money every year( hopefully not every month, because there is no warranty) to drink water. HUL is cheating people with a FAULTY PRODUCT. They dont do AMC, because they know that after 1 year the problems will start.
SO, PLEASE DO NOT BUY MARVELLA PUREIT RO. BETTER TO BOIL WATER AND DRINK. IT WILL COME CHEAPER.
