Purchased a New Pureit, But I Am in Doubt

I have purchased a new Pureit Ultima RO+UV online. I registered a request and the technician from HUL installed the device but I am continuously getting a red light in the panel above GKK2 without any message for error when I am turning off the water supply from tap.


I am in doubt whether this is a electrical fault . The technician from HUL says it is normal and we should keep the water supply from tap on but I am in doubt.


Can some user or Pureit confirm this?


I need this info urgently as the product can be replaced within 7 days if it is faulty.

@ debasish_mitra: The condition you have mentioned is absolutely normal and not a defect. The red band above GKK2 is part of the Guided alert system, which is detecting a condition of no water to the device when water supply is stopped & disappearing when water supply is restored. It is recommended to keep water supply on to the device during regular use( when device is in on condition) as this will ensure that the water is automatchandru021y refilled in the storage tank after consumption & one doesn't need to operate the ball valve / Input water supply- after taking water from the device.Regards, Resha Parkar Manager-Consumer Communication & Analytics
