Hi,
I had purchased one Pureit Ultima Purifier at the rate of Rs. 20, 990/-.
The product was purchased on 17th July 2015 and the same was delivered on 19th July. However, one day after installation it was noticed that water was leaking from the purifier.
Subsequently, one technician visited and found that one of the part in filter was defective and rectified the problem.
At the time of purchase and even in the documents which was provided to us, it was told that
The capacity of water filtration was 25 litres per hour and that once empty the filter would fill just in 20 minutes.
The sediment filter change is required in every six months.
GKK1 filter change is required at the end of 245 days or at least 400 liters of usage of water.
However, all the above facts have come out to be untrue.
When we take out the water from filter, it takes very long to fill the same again. For instance when we take even 2 glasses of water(approx. 500ml), it takes 12 to 15 minutes to fill the same again. Thus the capacity of filter is meagre 2 liters every hour instead of 25 litres.
Just after the less than 45 days of usage the filter has started displaying for calling the toll free number for asking to install the sediment filter.
Earlier every 15 days one of the light of GKK 1 was getting deleted not the same is happening just in 7 days. Thus GKK 1 replacement would be required just in 80 days instead 245 days.
Further we are already getting clean and filtered water in the building. Please find attached the photo of filter which has been installed. At the input TDS only 2 lines are shown. Even during the installation your technician observed that Input TDS was 50 and output TDS was 30. Therefore, it is clear that filter does not have to work extra to clean the water and it should actually run more than an average life of the filter.
we are only two adults at home and most of the time during official hours we are outside the home only. The daily consumption at our home does not exceed 15 to 20 liters of water. Even by that estimate, the filter should last at least 200 days.
We were using kent water purifier earlier and such things were never noticed. At the time of purchasing the Pureit purifier we were told that it was from HUL and no problem would occur. We were told that customer care of Pureit was much better than that of Kent.
But on actual usage we find that such problems were never encountered in kent. Once installed the filters were due for change only after one year.
Further I have made complaint with the Pureit customer care but they have chosen not to resolve the same despite so many emails and calls.
They claim they would resolve it within one day but the matter pending for so many days.
I made so many complaints
